In the afternoon on August 13, 2007 , the Chongqing Municipal Management Committee  hosted the "the technical evaluation meeting of wastewater treatment plant sludge reduced the production test results." in Chongqing Hilton Hotel. The meeting was attended by  responsible comrades of the relevant departments  of Chongqing political commissar,  City Environmental Protection Bureau, Municipal Water, municipal water companies and the pilot collaboration cast side is responsible for a sewage treatment plant comrades, Chongqing Newstar Consulting Co. Ltd., (China and Japan joint venture) Peckinpah Environmental Science Co. Ltd.,relevant personnel of Chongqing Lingtong  Economic and Technological Development Co. Ltd.,. Hired expert group of sewage treatment, municipal engineering and environmental microbiology  composed of experts assessed the project.　
        The meeting was chaired by  Chongqing the political commissar Science and Technology Department. The participating experts and representatives visited the test site of a sewage treatment plant in Chongqing at the scene and listened carefully to the experimental units Chongqing Newstar Consulting Co. Ltd., (Sino-Japanese joint venture) Chongqing Peckinpah  Environmental Science Co. Ltd., Chongqing Lingtong Economic and Technological Development Co. Ltd., to make detailed briefings of the project technical principles, characteristics to application expert during the meeting. Through experiments Report , testing reports, etc. to illustrate the nature, reliability and maturity of technology.

　　After discussion, the experts agreed that: 
        1, with the completion of the Shanxia Dam, a large number of municipal wastewater treatment plant operation, sewage treatment plant sludge disposal problem has continued to appear, so the sludge disposal method, reducing sludge factory the sludge volume of research, has become one of the important issues of the current sewage treatment. The  report on the direction of the production of the pilot study of the reducing sludge accord to the requirements of the sewage treatment process has a certain practical significance.

This new technology is running in the sewage treatment plant which has been built, abatementing a large number of the remaining sewage activated sludge for more than 70 percent ,without a change in the original process and the original equipment, and savings are sludge dewatering equipment maintenance costs, rapid setting admixture, utilities, transportation costs, landfill fees. Such technology is still blank.
